Goodbye fast fashion, hello sustainable style!

If the fashion industry were a country, its emissions would rank as highly as France, Germany and the UK combined. At TALA, we’re doing things differently to provide you with a sustainable alternative to fast fashion and activewear styles that don’t cost the earth.

We care about how our products are made and we know who makes them. Before we work with any new suppliers and their factories, we carefully check all of the accreditations they hold. We’ll only work with suppliers whose practices align with our values, and we ensure this via direct relationships and through the use of regular external audits. Exploitation thrives in hidden places, so we’ve made sure to shine a light on our entire supply chain and work with our factories to help them be the best they can be. This includes setting parameters for overtime, fair wages, anti-discrimination policies and other standards in line with international regulations. We’re aware that there are cultural and legislative differences between countries, but no matter where our suppliers are, we want to work together to ensure that a level of standards is being upheld.

We aim to build long-term partnerships with our suppliers, and carry out our business in a transparent, fair and sustainable manner. TALA is here to bring about positive change in the fast fashion and activewear industries - it’s very important to us and we know you feel the same!

Did you know that all of our tags are plantable?

Each tag is filled with seasonal seeds, meaning you’ll get a different plant with each product you buy. Just pop your tag in some soil, add water and watch it grow! Whether it's a herb, flower or spice, it’s bound to brighten up your day. The tag is bound with hemp twine making it fully biodegradable.

Oh, and all our courier bags and product packaging are made of 100% recyclable plastic, so there’s no nasty waste heading to landfill.

Our goal is to create quality pieces that will last as long as possible so you can wear them over and over again. According to WRAP, £140 million  of used clothing goes to landfill each year in the UK, so that’s why we also promise never to send our products to landfill. Instead, any returns that can be processed and added back into stock will be, and we’ll find new and exciting ways to find any excess stock a good home.

Of course, no brand is perfect, and the most sustainable item you own will always be the one you already have in your wardrobe. But we won’t stop until we are the best we can be, and we’ll always aim to provide you with sustainable styles at competitive prices for whenever you choose to shop.
